Job Title: Project Manager, Facilities and Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at New Mexico State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing facility renovation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinates with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project delivery
  • Manages project risks, issues, and changes
  • Prepares and reviews project reports, including progress updates and financial statements
  • Ensures compliance with university policies, procedures, and regulations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as construction management, engineering, or architecture
  • Three years of experience in project management, preferably in a higher education or facilities management setting
  • Knowledge of construction contract documents, building design, and project management principles
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Professional certifications, such as PMP or LEED AP
  • Experience with project management software and tools
Working Conditions:

This position involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and loud noises. The physical effort required is light, with occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.
