Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Technologist PRN to join our team at TriCities Hospital. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory services to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including hematology, clinical chemistry, blood bank, serology, coagulation, urinalysis, and microbiology.
  • Conduct complex analysis of microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical tests and their results.
  • Receive and process specimens, and maintain accurate records of test results.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve instrument problems, and perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities, and maintain accurate records of quality control results.
  • Train new employees and students in laboratory procedures and techniques.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biological, Chemical, and/or Physical Science, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist is preferred.
  • Registry or licensure in a specialty area is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
