Role Overview:

The Accounting Analyst collaborates with subsidiary Controllers to deliver comprehensive financial assessments and essential performance metrics. This position plays a crucial role in coordinating the financial forecasting process and enhancing procedures for planning and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain budgeting protocols with a focus on labor and capital expenditures.
  • Assist in the monthly financial closing process, including account reconciliations and necessary adjustments.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements in data collection and financial analysis.
  • Benchmark financial outcomes and practices against industry standards and key performance indicators.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations of budgetary status and the implications of additional needs and requests.
  • Prepare periodic and ad hoc analyses comparing Budget/Forecast against Actual results for revenues and expenses.
  • Evaluate improvement initiatives and special projects to assess their financial impact on the organization.
  • Establish and uphold procedures to ensure data integrity for accurate and timely reporting.
  • Utilize the company's financial systems to query data and generate performance reports.
  • Prepare management reports for senior leadership and subsidiary management.
  • Support the month-end closing process and adherence to controllership protocols for the corporate accounting team.
  • Collaborate closely with accounting teams to maintain effective internal controls and ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Assist in the timely filing of regulatory documents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Ability to interpret data tables within business applications and design data integrations.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in preparing or auditing financial statements and conducting financial analysis.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to enhance business operations through improved analysis, reporting, and trending.
  • Sound business judgment with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively across various teams and disciplines.
  • Innovative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with financial planning and reporting tools such as Vena, Adaptive Planning, Essbase, Hyperion, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with enterprise accounting systems like SAP or Oracle.
