Department: Recorder of Deeds
Grade: 110
Compensation: $16.78/hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preservation and organization of records at the Jackson County Records Center, ensuring efficient retrieval and restoration of all documents.
- Manage the updating of stored files, construct shelving for storage, re-file and re-box materials, and maintain an accurate inventory of incoming records.
- Safeguard the integrity of closed and confidential records.
- Coordinate the transport of boxes from various County facilities to the Records Center for secure storage.
- Retrieve boxes and books from storage, handling materials weighing up to 75 pounds, and arrange file materials in proper alphabetical or numerical order.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in records management is necessary.
- Possession of a valid Missouri Driver's License is required.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening is mandatory.
