Essential Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is mandatory.
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years in security or law enforcement is preferred.
- Experience in healthcare or education for at least 2 years is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License Class C and insurable upon hire is required.
- Peace Officer certification upon hire is mandatory.
- Annual maintenance of ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training is required.
- Completion of a personal history statement and psychological evaluation is necessary. Additional assessments may be required.
- Ability to follow and implement safety protocols to ensure the security of staff, patients, and visitors.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with the public and colleagues in a professional manner.
- Ability to make informed decisions and provide testimony in legal settings.
- Physical capability to defend and restrain individuals when necessary.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to write detailed incident reports and handle non-routine issues effectively.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Proficiency in using computers and electronic devices is required.
- High levels of alertness and attention to detail are crucial.
- Conduct patrols of the premises to ensure security and safety.
- Manage access to secured areas and assist individuals as needed.
- Identify and address unauthorized individuals on the property.
- Enforce parking regulations and maintain compliance with security policies.
- Document incidents and prepare reports accurately.
- Provide assistance to emergency services and respond to calls for service.
- Utilize critical thinking and de-escalation techniques in various situations.
