About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Specialist I to join our team at Eliot Community Human Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide side-by-side interventions to individuals, focusing on problem-solving, skills training, and modeling positive behavior.
  • Assist the team in ongoing assessment of symptoms and responses to interventions.
  • Participate in the development of treatment plans that prioritize recovery and rehabilitation.
  • Support individuals in their pursuit of recovery, rehabilitation, and community integration.
  • Provide transportation assistance to work sites, daily activities, and appointments.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Ideal prior experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness
