Job Title: Behavioral Health Access and Assessment Nurse

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Access and Assessment Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral and Mental Health team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of inpatient behavioral health services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise in behavioral and medical needs assessment for behavioral health patients
  • Identify and communicate placement barriers and assess most appropriate treatment settings
  • Work closely with MGB BMH leadership to deliver performance and efficiency metrics
  • Lead change management efforts and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders
  • Monitor and analyze data related to central access and disposition planning

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Massachusetts
  • 5-year nurse leader experience in inpatient psychiatry or emergency department
  • Experience in inpatient behavioral health assessment and service coordination

Skills/Abilities/Competencies:

  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Interest in hospital-wide and other asset-based capacity challenges
  • Data analytics skills and experience in a highly transparent and visible data-driven decision-making environment
