Behavioral Health Access and Assessment Nurse

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Access and Assessment Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral and Mental Health team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of inpatient behavioral health services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise in behavioral and medical needs assessment for behavioral health patients
- Identify and communicate placement barriers and assess most appropriate treatment settings
- Work closely with MGB BMH leadership to deliver performance and efficiency metrics
- Lead change management efforts and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders
- Monitor and analyze data related to central access and disposition planning
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Massachusetts
- 5-year nurse leader experience in inpatient psychiatry or emergency department
- Experience in inpatient behavioral health assessment and service coordination
Skills/Abilities/Competencies:
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects
- Interest in hospital-wide and other asset-based capacity challenges
- Data analytics skills and experience in a highly transparent and visible data-driven decision-making environment
