A Precision Grinding Technician is tasked with the operation of specialized centerless grinding machinery to refine metal bars and various components. This position requires the setup of equipment, monitoring the grinding procedure, and conducting thorough inspections of the finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. The main goal is to convert raw materials into high-quality finished parts while following safety guidelines and maintaining machinery.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Setup, operate, and maintain centerless grinding equipment.
  • Select and install suitable grinding wheels and tools.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on completed products.
  • Operate a straightening press when necessary.
  • Adhere to safety regulations at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and fellow team members.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in centerless grinding or related operations is beneficial but not essential.
  • Knowledge of manual or CNC machine tools in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skilled in taking and interpreting measurements using tools such as micrometers and calipers.
