Nursing Oncology Specialist

Job SummaryThe Nursing Oncology Specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, advocating for our patients' needs, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination. You will work closely with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of our patients.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assess patients' needs and develop individualized care plans to meet their specific requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care and communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers.
- Provide education and support to patients and families on cancer treatment options, side effects, and management strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A current RN license in the State of Texas or Compact RN license.
- At least two years of nursing experience in oncology or related fields.
- A comprehensive understanding of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and other cancer treatments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
We offer a competitive salary of $93,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
