Position OverviewReporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Events, the Head of Event Operations is accountable for the strategic planning, support, and execution of both digital and in-person events.
This role encompasses all facets of the event lifecycle, with a concentrated focus on leading the team responsible for delivering premier experiences for global events, including pre-event preparations and onsite execution of content operations, speaker services, registration, attendee management, and demo operations.
The position emphasizes not just event planning, but also the adoption of cutting-edge methodologies and interactive tools to foster meaningful customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of exceptional professionals in content operations, registration, and front-of-house event services, while enhancing the global event service framework across various platforms and programs.
- Guide the team in scaling these services across the global event portfolio, providing support for corporate flagship programming as well as regional, industry, and third-party events.
- Drive the event content and demo operations team in developing the learning infrastructure both onsite and remotely, aligning with the broader organizational goals and demonstrating strong cross-functional project management skills.
- Oversee the event registration team in their continuous improvement and development of best-in-class registration experiences, ensuring adherence to Oracle's standards.
- Collaborate with agency partners throughout the event development and delivery process, ensuring scalability and efficiency across programs.
- Work closely with colleagues and leadership in all aspects of planning and executing global events, including strategic event planning and speaker coordination.
- Foster and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with your team, supporting them in building similar connections with colleagues, key stakeholders, executives, and vendors.
- Prepare, present, and cultivate consensus around a clear, data-driven vision for Event Services for each program managed within the global event portfolio.
- 10-12+ years of experience in crafting cohesive event experiences within a complex, cross-functional B2B environment.
- 5-7+ years of experience managing cross-functional event teams with a proven track record of developing a cohesive, data-driven vision.
- A passion for taking calculated risks while fostering consensus across teams.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with integrity, honesty, and fairness in a dynamic environment.
- Direct, hands-on management experience with attendee-facing registration and event content management systems.
- Proficient in various professional applications, including Zoom, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
This position allows for flexibility in location and will involve some domestic and international travel, approximately 25% of the year.
