Position Summary

The Electrical Assembly Technician is responsible for executing electrical assembly tasks and sub-assemblies during the final assembly process of our product lines. This role is crucial in maintaining, testing, and repairing industrial machinery to meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical skills necessary for producing high-quality components and assemblies. This position reports to the Team Leader and is based in our assembly facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, or blueprints to ascertain material requirements and assembly instructions;
  • Install piping, fixtures, and electrical components using hand tools and welding equipment;
  • Align and position components for effective assembly;
  • Repair or replace damaged parts or assemblies as needed;
  • Conduct quality checks on products and components;
  • Test completed products to ensure functionality and compliance with specifications;
  • Manufacture precision parts involved in assemblies and sub-assemblies;
  • Communicate progress and issues to the team leader professionally;
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment through regular cleaning practices;
  • Exhibit teamwork and a strong work ethic;
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED; vocational training is preferred;
  • 3 to 10 years of relevant experience in electrical assembly;
  • Experience in electrical work;
  • Solid understanding of general manufacturing processes with good mechanical and electrical aptitude;
  • Basic mathematical skills;
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and established guidelines;
  • Work effectively under moderate supervision;
  • Adaptability to change in a dynamic environment;
  • Maintain composure in a fast-paced setting;
  • Collaborate with management to analyze assembly efficiency;
  • Demonstrate a mission-focused approach with a sense of urgency;
  • Foster a positive attitude and a culture of continuous improvement;
  • Proficiency with computers is essential.
