Job Summary

Franklin Industries is seeking a skilled Millwright to support our team in assembling, installing, maintaining, and disassembling vital machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install critical manufacturing machinery, ensuring accurate assemblage to minimize wear and strain on components
  • Perform preventive maintenance and accurately log all maintenance
  • Disassemble machinery and transport it to the appropriate storage location
  • Perform diagnostic tests on functioning machinery to ensure safe and efficient functionality
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Trade school diploma or vocational certificate preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Strong math, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Good understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
Working Conditions

This is a safety-sensitive position. The successful candidate will be working around heavy machinery, mechanical parts, and vibrations, and will be exposed to some fumes, gases, fluids, and chemicals.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to climb on, off, and around equipment
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time
  • Ability to bend, twist, lift, turn as needed
  • Ability to lift items occasionally weighing up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to use wrists, hands, and/or fingers for various repetitive motions
  • Ability to verbally communicate
  • Good eye acuity, depth perception, field of vision (with or without accommodation)
