Job Summary:
The Millwright Technician will play a critical role in supporting Franklin Industries by assembling, installing, maintaining, and disassembling vital machinery. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install critical manufacturing machinery, ensuring accurate assemblage to minimize wear and strain on components
- Perform preventive maintenance and accurately log all maintenance
- Disassemble machinery and transport it to the appropriate storage location
- Perform diagnostic tests on functioning machinery to ensure safe and efficient functionality
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Trade school diploma or vocational certificate preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Strong math, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Good understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
Working Conditions:
- This is a safety-sensitive position
- Working around mechanical parts and vibrations
- Working around some fumes, gases, fluids, and chemicals
- Working around loud noises
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb on, off, and around equipment
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time
- Ability to bend, twist, lift, turn as needed
- Ability to lift items (occasionally very heavy, up to 100 pounds)
- Ability to use wrists, hands, and/or fingers for various repetitive motions
- Ability to verbally communicate
- Good eye acuity, depth perception, field of vision (with or without accommodation)
