Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee advanced practice clinicians in Georgia.
- Conduct patient assessments and follow-up consultations to determine eligibility for ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), prescribe treatments, and monitor patient progress via telemedicine as necessary.
- Recommend adjustments to treatment plans based on patient feedback and treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with Journey Clinical psychotherapists to ensure comprehensive care.
- Work alongside the care coordinator to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on the care management system to enhance our services.
- Report directly to the Lead Clinician and engage with the leadership team and co-founders.
Candidate Profile:
MD licensed to practice in Georgia.
Preferred: experience as a collaborating physician.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a psychiatric setting.
GA DEA registration.
Comfortable prescribing controlled substances when clinically appropriate.
Experience in prescribing for anxiety and depression.
Able to synthesize medical and psychiatric information effectively to develop evidence-based clinical recommendations.
Patient-centered mindset, strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering the highest quality of patient care.
Willingness to utilize essential tools for enhanced productivity (e.g., Slack, G Suite, Zoom).
Comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced telehealth startup environment.
Interest in the field of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and its potential to transform mental health care.
