Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Rehabilitation Services Coordinator to join our team at the University of California. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, registration, appointment scheduling, and insurance verification for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer multi-line incoming customer calls and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Complete online registration and scheduling for new and established patients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.
  • Verify insurance eligibility for outpatient services and secure authorization for scheduled services.
  • Operate EPIC system to gain and input information, and effectively relay medical messages to patient/clinic staff.
  • Adhere to UCSD Medical Group Financial Policy and advise patients of clinic deposit requirements.
Requirements
  • Three (3) years of related experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Previous call center or front desk experience.
  • Knowledge of third-party payors, including federal, state, and private health plans.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year of EPIC & Cadence experience, or equivalent system.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Ability to prioritize and process therapy referrals based on diagnosis and medical information.

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
