Maintenance Planner

The Maintenance Planner plays a crucial role in expediting the flow of work and materials within the maintenance department, ensuring seamless alignment with work orders and production schedules. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills to review and distribute work orders, collaborate with department supervisors, and compile reports on progress, inventory levels, costs, and maintenance problems.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in reviewing documents, materials, and products to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with department supervisors and other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes to processes.
- Communicate with established personnel, vendors, and customers to coordinate maintenance activities and resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
- Record maintenance data, including work orders, spare parts used, and missed deadlines.
- Develop and maintain tracking spreadsheets to keep track of inventory and repeat trends on maintenance issues.
- Requisition and maintain inventories of material and supplies necessary to meet maintenance demands.
- Schedule and check on progress for work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Compile reports from CMMS to track trends and work efficiency.
- Maintain the Trailer/Truck/Fork Lift/other equipment Preventative Maintenance Programs, including contacting vendors and corporate personnel to resolve issues.
- Coordinate with local vendors for supplies and repairs, as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience working in Microsoft Excel to manage data, create spreadsheets, generate reports, charts, etc.
- Minimum of 2+ years in a production or maintenance environment.
- Inventory experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to problem-solve and multitask.
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated time management skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.
- Ability to fax, copy, and scan documents.
- Frequently lifts up to 15 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, climbing, pulling, pushing, and crawling.
- Frequently required to sit for extended periods.
Primarily office-based, with occasional outdoor work in various weather conditions. May involve working in a hot and humid environment, with exposure to moving parts and equipment.
