KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily Operations
1. Accurately processes and reviews all medication orders, ensuring compliance with quality standards and proper labeling.
2. Evaluates the appropriateness of prescribed medications considering factors such as patient demographics and clinical conditions.
3. Leverages technology and clinical data to enhance pharmaceutical care functions, including order entry and verification.
4. Ensures exceptional patient care and service by fulfilling operational responsibilities and collaborating with team members.
5. Demonstrates flexibility in scheduling to meet the dynamic needs of the department.
6. Adheres to safety protocols when handling hazardous materials and reports any incidents appropriately.
Leadership
1. Oversees the preparation of admixtures, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
2. Supervises technical staff, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and efficient task completion.
3. Manages time effectively to maintain productivity and fosters strong communication within the pharmacy team.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
Required:
- Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited institution.
- Texas State Board of Pharmacy license within 90 days of employment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days if applicable.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Doctorate in Pharmacy.
- Two years of relevant pharmacy practice experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Onsite presence is required, with potential exposure to various environmental factors.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Includes a range of physical activities such as lifting, standing, and fine motor skills.
