About the Role:

As the Pharmacist-in-Charge at Avita Pharmacy, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring the highest quality of pharmaceutical services, and fostering business growth while controlling expenses. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacy, properly dispensing, ordering, and maintaining inventory of drugs and supplies, and collaborating with physicians to discuss potential incompatibility issues with patient prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily operations of the pharmacy, maintaining the highest quality of pharmaceutical services
  • Foster business growth and control expenses for the pharmacy
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacy
  • Properly dispense, order, and maintain inventory of drugs and supplies
  • Collaborate with physicians to discuss potential incompatibility issues with patient prescriptions
  • Direct and perform pharmacy activities and manage workflow efficiency
  • Keep abreast of changing laws, regulations, and new pharmacy-related programs
  • Consult with clinic providers, administrators, and other personnel as appropriate to provide quality patient care and efficient operations
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
  • Uphold a clean, customer-friendly workplace, and always project a positive attitude
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism consistent with company standards, including dress, personal appearance, and grooming
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
About You:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team as the Pharmacist-in-Charge. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Doctoral degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university, 2+ years of full-time retail or clinic pharmacy experience, and a Pharmacist license in good standing in the State of Texas. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must, and experience with 340B and AAHIVP certification is preferred. Excellent interpersonal, customer-service, managerial, and communication skills are essential for this role.
