Polysomnographic Care Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who can perform the following tasks with accuracy:

* Monitor patients' physiological responses during testing, including vital signs, oxygenation, and electroencephalography changes
* Evaluate changes in patient condition and document signs and symptoms that require physician notification
* Analyze various aspects of the sleep study and send to physician for interpretation

In addition, the ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills to explain procedures to patients before, during, and after sleep studies, and provide age-specific care according to their needs.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications:

* A graduate degree from a polysomnographic technology education program acceptable to the New York State Education Department (NYSED)
* Licensure as a NYS Polysomnographic Technologist
* Registration as a Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) credential from the Board for Registered Polysomnography Technologists (BRPT)

A current BCLS certification is also required. The salary for this position is approximately $85,000 annually, based on the job requirements and location.
