At ACLD, we're seeking a dedicated Support Specialist to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Salary: $18-$20 per hour

We're committed to helping people achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives. As a Support Specialist, you'll play a vital role in creating a supportive environment that fosters growth and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing emotional support and guidance to individuals in our care
  • Assisting with daily living tasks and activities
  • Transporting individuals to medical appointments and recreational activities
  • Completing accurate documentation and maintaining records

Requirements:

  • Clean, valid NYS Driver's license
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with intellectually and developmentally disabled populations preferred; training provided

A CLD has multiple locations throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties, offering various shift options including day, evening, and overnight shifts. Some programs may have a differential in addition to the hourly rate.
