**Job Title:** Orthopedic Nurse Specialist
**Location:** New York
**Salary Range:** $80,000 - $120,000 per year
Lynbrook SC LLC is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Nurse Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the company by utilizing the nursing process in planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care given to the surgical patient during the intra-operative period.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques, as well as broad knowledge of anesthesia care and when to assist the anesthesia team. You will also maintain current knowledge of hand hygiene, aseptic and sterile technique, decontamination, high-level disinfectant, and sterilization procedures.
In addition, you will demonstrate attention to detail by ensuring that all documentation is legible, complete, and accurate. You will also possess critical thinking skills, effective problem-solving skills, and leadership skills.
The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering safe, effective nursing care until the patient is transferred from their care to the recovery R.N. They will also perform duties of the circulating or scrub role in caring for all age patients.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have a graduate degree from an accredited school of professional nursing and at least 2 years of experience as an operating room nurse in orthopedic settings. Active RN license as required by state of New York and valid BCLS Certification upon employment are also required.
