Service Department Overview

As a vital part of our service team, you will assist the service manager in ensuring precise and timely documentation, work orders, and records that are essential for the daily operations of our service department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inquiries from both internal and external customers directed to the Service Department.
  • Initiate work orders as instructed by the Service Manager or Shop Foreman, maintaining oversight until completion and invoicing.
  • Manage the service library, ensuring it is up-to-date with relevant information such as bulletins, manuals, and multimedia resources under the guidance of the Service Manager.
  • Organize and maintain filing systems and records for the Service Department.
  • Update customer profiles with relevant data from work orders, including equipment and hours.
  • Assist in responding to service-related phone inquiries.
  • Oversee the inventory of accessories and supplies, preparing orders for replacements as necessary.
  • Prepare efficiency reports for Service Technicians and other documentation as required.
  • Process warranty claims and product improvement requests, including charge calculations, submissions, and follow-ups.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Possess a foundational understanding of accounting principles.
  • Utilize standard desktop applications, including Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • Understand general office procedures.
  • Have a basic knowledge of mechanical and technical terminology.
  • Exhibit mechanical aptitude.
  • Hold a High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
