Job Summary

The Chicago Public Schools (CPS) is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Intervention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Office of Social & Emotional Learning (OSEL), you will play a critical role in supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement district-wide training programs for Tier II and Tier III interventions, including professional learning communities and coaching support.
  • Collaborate with school-based social workers, counselors, psychologists, and community partners to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to deliver high-quality Tier II supports.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of training for staff across the district, focusing on healing-centered support for behavioral health interventions.
  • Provide training and consultation on the use of intervention screeners, including screening data collection and analysis.
  • Support the collection and analysis of district-wide screening data to inform intervention needs and satisfy grant reporting requirements.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of five years of experience working with adolescents and youth in an urban setting, with a focus on social, emotional, and behavioral supports.
  • Minimum of three years of experience delivering evidence-based Tier 2 & 3 social, emotional, or behavioral interventions.
  • Strong leadership and team building skills, with the ability to develop high-performing teams united around a clear vision for serving schools and achieving student success.
