Role Summary:

The Chief Human Resources Strategist will oversee and manage all facets of the human resources operations within the organization. This encompasses, but is not limited to, talent acquisition, employee benefits and compensation, employee relations, and professional development.

This leader will play a crucial role in formulating and executing HR and cultural strategies that align with the strategic objectives and mission of The Educational Alliance Inc. They will support the organization through staffing and related human resource functions, designing, implementing, and maintaining various policies and programs concerning recruitment, staff development, compensation and benefits, diversity, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guide, mentor, and manage the Human Resources team, providing support and development opportunities in talent acquisition, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, performance management, and cultural enhancement.
  2. Oversee recruitment strategies and methodologies, including job postings, marketing efforts, resume reviews, interview processes, and talent retention planning.
  3. Develop a strategic framework to ensure that benefits, payroll, compensation reviews, equal employment opportunities, and retention strategies are current and competitive.
  4. Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.
  5. Maintain and update the Employee Handbook annually or as needed based on regulatory changes.
  6. Implement strategies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  7. Integrate cultural competency into all aspects of the Human Resource strategy and execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Human Resources or related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a HR department.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment and selection processes.
  • Knowledge of employee development programs and performance management systems.
  • Familiarity with compensation and benefits structures.
  • Experience with union contracts and negotiations.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Experience in promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Outstanding facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
