Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at SSM Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Services: You will be responsible for taking x-rays of designated parts of the human body for diagnostic purposes and providing support for the imaging department.
  • Patient Care: You will explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding, provide educational material, and assist technologists with preparing patients for radiology exams.
  • Radiation Safety: You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to prevent patient exposure to unnecessary radiation.
  • Equipment Maintenance: You will ensure that equipment is properly functioning and report any potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Department Maintenance: You will assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree or completion of a radiology certification program.
  • Experience: No experience required.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA), Radiologic Technologists - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA), ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and other state-specific licenses and certifications.
Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals. You will be required to stand and walk frequently, use vision and depth perception for distances near and far, and use hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
