Position Overview

The Clinical Unit Supervisor (RN/LPN) will be responsible for managing the care delivery for a designated group of patients within a specific area or clinical setting. This role involves executing the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with the State's Nurse Practice Act for Registered Nurse licensure. The Clinical Unit Supervisor - RN will ensure effective resource management, timely care interventions, and facilitate interdisciplinary communication to improve patient and family satisfaction, as well as compliance with clinical systems and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care, including the administration of medications, treatments, and procedures under the guidance of a registered nurse or physician.
  • Assist in the evaluation, planning, and implementation of individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and any changes in their condition.
  • Collaborate with members of the healthcare team to provide coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding healthcare procedures, medications, and self-care practices.
  • Maintain accurate and current medical records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid RN/LPN license in the state of New Jersey.
  • A minimum of one year of supervisory experience in a long-term care facility, rehabilitation center, hospital, or a related healthcare environment. Experience in long-term care is preferred.
  • Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices is required.
