Nursing Unit Supervisor RN/LPN

The Nursing Unit Supervisor (RN/LPN) will be responsible for managing the care delivery for a designated group of patients within a specific unit or clinical area. This role involves executing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act for Registered Nurses. The Unit Supervisor will ensure effective resource management, timely care interventions, and facilitate interdisciplinary communication to improve patient and family satisfaction, as well as compliance with clinical standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care, which includes administering medications, treatments, and procedures under the guidance of a registered nurse or physician.
- Assist in the evaluation, planning, and implementation of individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and any changes in health status.
- Collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding healthcare procedures, medications, and self-care practices.
- Maintain precise and current medical records and documentation.
- Possession of a valid RN/LPN license in the state of New Jersey.
- A minimum of one year of supervisory experience in a long-term care, rehabilitation, or related healthcare facility is required. Experience in long-term care is preferred.
- Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices is essential.
