Unit Manager (RN/LPN)
The Unit Manager is responsible for supervising the care management of a designated group of patients within a specific area, unit, or clinical function. This role involves executing the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the State's Nurse Practice Act for Registered Nurse licensure. The Unit Manager - RN ensures effective resource utilization, timely care interventions, and promotes interdisciplinary communication to improve patient and family satisfaction, while adhering to the center's clinical systems and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care, including the administration of medications, treatments, and procedures under the guidance of a registered nurse or physician.
- Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and any changes in condition.
- Collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Educate patients and their families regarding healthcare procedures, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Maintain precise and current medical records and documentation.
- Possession of a valid RN/LPN license in the state of New Jersey.
- A minimum of one year of supervisory experience in a long-term care facility, rehabilitation center, hospital, or other related healthcare settings. Experience in long-term care is preferred.
- Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
