Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at the University of California. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care to a diverse population, working closely with clinic management, administration, faculty physicians, and other clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and phlebotomy
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and prioritize tasks
  • Recognize and report abnormal laboratory values and life-threatening medical problems
  • Perform physical examinations and procedures, as needed
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Vocational Nurse in the State of California
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • 6+ months of LVN experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of computerized patient care systems and proficiency in computer skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
