The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department at Los Robles Regional Medical Center. As a key member of the management team, the CNC is responsible for directing, monitoring, and evaluating nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Valid Registered Nurse California License, required.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, preferred.
- High School Diploma/GED, required.
- 2 years clinical experience in Emergency, required.
- Leadership or management experience, preferred.
- Certification applicable to clinical area, preferred.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS), required.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC), required.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), required.
- Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS), required.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), required.
- Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN), required.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI), required.
Los Robles Regional Medical Center is a 380+ bed acute care hospital dedicated to serving the residents of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties along with the Greater Conejo Valley. We are the only Level II Trauma Center in East Ventura County. We are known for providing excellent care with compassion and kindness to each of our patients.
