Job Responsibilities

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach all aspects of medical billing and coding in our Medical Billing/Coding day program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach insurance and coding courses. The typical teaching load is 1-2 courses each term. You will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director, and participate in department training, meetings, and graduation.

Requirements

Applicants will need to have at least three years of experience in the billing industry. A working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding is also required. Additionally, experience with medical billing software and knowledge of HIPAA and current industry-related regulations are necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as being highly organized, motivated, and results-driven. Prior teaching experience is preferred.
