Job Summary

Mental Health Association in Ulster County, Inc. is seeking a full-time Wellness Activities Coordinator to join our Wellness Services Program. The Coordinator will provide trauma-informed, non-clinical assistance services to adults within the program to achieve long-term recovery.

The Coordinator will work with the Director of Wellness Services to provide daily program oversight and meet department goals and objectives. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 9am to 4:30pm, with an alternating late night on Tuesday and possible alternating Saturdays.

The Coordinator will be responsible for developing and administering recreational and socialization activities and groups, providing transportation for scheduled activities, and working with the Director to meet department goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and administer recreational and socialization activities and groups
  • Provide transportation for scheduled activities
  • Work with the Director of Wellness Services to meet department goals and objectives
  • Provide support and resolve problems associated with the program schedule and activities
  • Assist with and conduct program evaluations and recommend appropriate changes

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years experience in human services
  • Ability to work as a team member and to handle crisis situations
  • A clean, valid NYS driver's license that will meet and maintain a satisfactory driving record consistent with agency and insurance standards
  • Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position, with or without accommodations required by federal, state, or local law
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office
