Position: Registered Nurse

Location: Fresno, CA

Schedule: Full-time, hourly position, Monday to Friday

Compensation: $54 per hour

Qualifications: Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license in California.

Role Summary:

The Lead Registered Nurse will oversee and ensure that the caseloads and schedules of Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) are effectively managed. This role involves collaboration with the Program Manager and other leads to provide the necessary training and support for LVNs. The Lead RN will also be responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of nursing services, including medication administration, monitoring and recording patient vital signs, and reporting any adverse reactions to the appropriate medical personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of client symptoms and provide crisis intervention as necessary.
  • Maintain the nursing schedule and collaborate with the Program Manager to assign duties, ensuring adequate coverage during operational hours.
  • Manage nurse calls, order and review laboratory tests, and report abnormal results to the medical team.
  • Consult with the Lead Clinician and medical staff to implement new policies and prepare for audits.
  • Actively participate in the treatment team, providing input as required.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clinicians regarding client planning and consultations.
  • Monitor clients in the Patient Assistance program and ensure all documentation is current.
  • Complete all required charting and documentation in electronic health records promptly.
  • Coordinate medication orders and refills with pharmacies and respond to client inquiries regarding medications.
  • Educate clients on their medications and potential side effects.
  • Administer prescribed medications through various routes and monitor client well-being.
  • Respond effectively to medical emergencies and take vital signs as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and HIPAA standards.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse license in California is required.
  • A valid California driver's license and current auto insurance are necessary.
  • Experience in mental health or substance abuse services is preferred.
  • Cultural competency and bilingual skills are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems is preferred.
