Clinical Nursing Operations Manager

Position Overview
The Clinical RN Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily functions of our primary care clinic and nursing department. Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing, this position is responsible for supervising clinical staff and ensuring optimal operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinic operations, including staffing, scheduling, and quality assurance for nursing staff.
- Supervise a diverse clinical team, including Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, Medical Assistants, and Certified Nursing Assistants, tailored to the specific needs of the clinic.
- Facilitate training and development for new employees, conduct competency assessments, and manage performance evaluations.
- Ensure timely scheduling and coordination of patient appointments and follow-ups.
- Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care for new participants.
- Monitor and report on COVID-19 testing and vaccination efforts, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Manage clinic logs and oversee medication administration processes.
- Ensure the clinic is well-stocked with supplies and that all equipment is maintained in good working order.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evaluate the effectiveness of clinic operations.
- Provide direct nursing care as needed, including executing physician orders and performing patient assessments.
- Assist in preparing for regulatory audits and ensure compliance with health care standards.
- Communicate effectively with staff and healthcare providers to resolve issues and enhance patient care.
Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of three years in healthcare, particularly in geriatrics, with at least one year in a primary care setting.
Skills: Strong knowledge of clinic operations, excellent leadership abilities, and effective communication skills are essential. Proficiency in electronic health records and documentation is required.
Education: Completion of an accredited nursing program is mandatory, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. A current California Registered Nurse License and BLS certification are also required.
