Job Summary

The Service Technician Specialist at Orville's Appliance Inc. is responsible for performing routine diagnostics and repairs on major appliances in the field. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prescreen customer inquiries to identify eligible service requests.
  • Conduct effective diagnosis testing to identify functional failures of appliances.
  • Advise the Parts Manager on specific appliance parts required for successful repairs.
  • Replace appliance parts in a safe and correct manner.
  • Coordinate additional repair assistance with manufacturers as needed.
  • Provide timely updates to customers on the repair process.
  • Document all necessary steps of the repair process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in appliance repair.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and identify operational malfunctions independently.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment technology.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting of objects between 50-100 lbs.
  • Frequent periods of kneeling, standing, sitting, and crouching.
Compensation

$25-$35 per hour, depending on experience.
