The Crisis Response Clinician plays a vital role in providing immediate, person-centered support to individuals referred by the Compass Disaster Line and community partners. This position involves assessing each person's needs and level of risk, delivering clinically appropriate interventions, and facilitating referrals as necessary. The clinician will also represent the program in collaboration with other agencies to ensure that the needs of individuals are effectively met.
Position requires regional travel within our Northeast region, including various counties. Mileage reimbursement is available for travel.
*This is a Part-Time position, with hours on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver person-centered and trauma-informed services to individuals in need.
- Conduct clinically appropriate crisis interventions and risk assessments via phone, video, or face-to-face interactions.
- Complete Zero Suicide screenings and promptly identify each caller's needs.
- Make follow-up calls or visits as required.
- Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with community partners.
- Participate in monthly meetings and weekly clinical supervision with the Crisis Line Supervisor.
- Maintain the agreed-upon level of productivity.
- Provide culturally competent services tailored to the unique needs of each caller.
- Stay informed about all services offered by Compass Health.
- Be knowledgeable about other human/social services agencies for referral purposes when Compass cannot provide a service, and maintain documentation of such referrals.
- Keep accurate client records in compliance with agency and state regulations.
- Ensure all documentation is written in a professional and proficient manner.
- Refer and coordinate with the mobile outreach team as necessary.
- Collaborate with the caller's multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Flexibility with shifts may be required.
- Assist with transportation as clinically indicated.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Work Experience/Training/Additional Requirements:
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in behavioral health is required if the highest education level obtained is a Bachelor’s degree.Working knowledge of DSM-V is required.A valid driver’s license and agency-established minimum automobile coverage are required.
Licensure/Certification:
QMHP preferred.
PLPC, LMSW, LPC, LMFT, or LCSW preferred.
