Job Overview

The role involves providing exceptional support to clients utilizing Amada Automation Systems, which encompasses core machinery. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, operational training, and software instruction.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues related to mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems, including networking.
  • Ability to accurately interpret layout diagrams and blueprints for equipment installation.
  • Completion of daily service reports and weekly expense documentation.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on follow-up.
  • Overseeing the complete equipment installation process at client locations, which may involve physical tasks such as using hand tools and maneuvering in various positions.
  • Providing training on operation, applications, software, and part programming.
  • Utilization of Amada applications software for line control and part programming.
  • Regular travel within designated regions.
  • Capability to lift weights up to 50 lbs.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Regional Service Manager.


Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Electronics or a minimum of an Associate's degree with relevant experience is preferred.


Skills Required:
  • Ability to analyze and repair various systems including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical, and electrical.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, Volt/Ohm meters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Familiarity with computers and Windows operating systems.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Commitment to providing comprehensive service and support throughout the customer’s experience with the machinery.

Compensation:

Hourly rate: $30.00


Travel Requirements:

Routine travel within assigned territories, with occasional overnight stays.


Physical Requirements:

Average lifting requirement: 50 lbs, with daily frequency.
