Job Overview

The Membership and Chapter Relations Coordinator will play a key role in driving the strategic and tactical operations of membership and chapter functions for the Association of Black Psychologists. This position will be responsible for managing membership and chapter databases, providing customer service, and developing and implementing annual campaigns for new member recruitment and retention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage membership and chapter databases, including programming new features and maintenance
  • Provide customer service to members and chapters, including general requests for information and support
  • Develop and implement annual campaigns for new member recruitment and retention
  • Manage the annual membership dues renewal process and process applications accordingly
  • Generate monthly membership reports to show current status and identify trends
  • Manage the allocation and reporting of revenue from membership and chapter dues
  • Prepare and disseminate correspondence to members and chapters
  • Manage the online Therapist Referral Directory
  • Manage chapter charter and renewal process, chapter compliance, and chapter license agreement process
  • Provide chapter development support and prepare scheduled chapter compliance reports
  • Develop strategies to recruit and retain chapters
  • Collaborate with teammates to facilitate the annual elections process and coordinate Continuing Education and Certification processes
  • Support coordination of the ABPsi Global Institute as pertains to database management, webinar scheduling, and customer service
  • Manage set-up and programming of registration database for the annual convention, prepare conference registration reports, and create and manage registration discount codes
  • Develop logistical plan for registration, including training for staff and volunteers, on-site staff schedule, and coordination with Education and Training Committee and National Convention Committee
