Position Overview:

As a vital member of the Risk Control Department at PMA Companies, you will play a crucial role in enhancing profitability through the implementation of effective risk management strategies. Your expertise will be instrumental in the selection, management, and retention of advantageous accounts. This position allows you to leverage your risk control knowledge to support both corporate and departmental objectives by focusing on the management of profitable business through effective exposure control and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and implement services that will positively influence business outcomes.
  • Perform comprehensive exposure and control analyses on both prospective and existing clients.
  • Offer consultative support to clients to enhance their risk management practices.
  • Conduct presentations and orientations regarding service capabilities for current and potential clients.
  • Develop measurable exposure assessments based on actionable plans tailored for clients.
  • Execute pre-underwriting risk evaluations to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, while adhering to compliance policies, procedures, standards, and applicable laws in all work-related activities.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in safety, risk management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in property and casualty risk management consultation, with prior safety experience preferred.
  • Proficient understanding of mandatory regulatory codes relevant to various product lines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and decision-making proficiency.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite are essential.
