Job Title: Surgical Services Team Lead

At Baptist Health Care, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Services Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation of all sterilizer units, running biological and chemical tests, and maintaining preventative maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the proper operation of all sterilizer units and equipment
  • Run biological and chemical tests and record results in the appropriate log
  • Maintain preventative maintenance procedures and control procedures on all equipment and instrumentation
  • Assist in the creation of the SPD staff schedule and assist in the orientation of new employees
  • Perform other related duties as required, such as examining sterilization/expiration dates, reporting inoperable equipment, and making visual inventory inspections
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • 2 years sterile processing experience Required
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association Upon Hire Required
