The Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Professional analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions.

The role involves moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Key responsibilities include collecting, compiling, verifying, and analyzing financial information and economic indicators to inform senior management's strategic and operational decisions.

Additionally, the Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Professional evaluates industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium, and long-term financial and competitive position.

Other key responsibilities include analyzing revenues, expenses, costs, prices, investments, cash flow, profits, labor market trends, inflation, interest rates, and exchange rates.

The role may also involve financial modeling, reporting, and budgeting, as well as influencing departmental strategy.

Requirements for the role include a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, as well as 5 or more years of experience in finance/accounting.

Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Access, SQL, and multi-dimensional databases is also required.

Strong analytic skills, attention to detail, and excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in business administration or a related field, previous health insurance industry experience, and experience with SAS or other relational databases.
