As a Project Leader, you will be pivotal in bridging the gap between Thales and our airline partners, managing integration aspects such as commercial relationships, marketing strategies, expectation management, and launch initiatives.

Position Overview


Thales is seeking a Project Leader to collaborate with clients, partners, engineering teams, and the Lead Program Manager to develop, test, and introduce innovative service offerings and business models.

This role acts as the primary liaison with airline partners, ensuring smooth integration and execution of our services.


Key Responsibilities


1. Support the sales process by providing Program Management inputs, identifying potential risks, and coordinating technical responses.

2. Facilitate the transition from Sales to Program Management through effective handover meetings.

3. Collaborate with functional managers to assemble a cross-functional program team aligned with the established Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).

4. Develop and maintain the program Bill of Materials (BOM), proactively identifying risk areas to stabilize the BOM early in the project lifecycle.

5. Conduct internal program Kick Off Meetings (KOM) to communicate customer expectations and delivery schedules.

6. Ensure timely release of Internal Purchase Orders (IPOs) in accordance with production lead times.

7. Oversee program activities to achieve objectives profitably while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

8. Implement and maintain the Manage Program (MAP) tracking tool for new programs, ensuring accurate program records are kept.

9. Conduct regular team meetings to review performance metrics, BOM status, risk assessments, and customer satisfaction.

10. Manage program financials, monitoring expenditures against budgets and ensuring alignment with financial plans.

11. Communicate directly with external airline customers and suppliers, ensuring high-quality, timely correspondence.

12. Prepare for and participate in critical program milestone meetings.

13. Assist in the management of Purchase Orders from airline customers to prevent revenue gaps.

14. Close projects by archiving documents and sharing insights gained throughout the project lifecycle.


Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 5-8+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years of experience.

• Minimum of 2 years in project management or PMO roles.• Proven experience in customer-facing roles with high-level decision-makers.• Strong financial acumen, particularly in business case development.• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.• Excellent presentation skills and proficiency in MS Office applications.• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate team members.• Capacity to manage multiple projects independently and effectively.
Additional Information


• Core Business Hours: Monday-Friday, with occasional requirements to work outside these hours.

• Travel: 25-50%, requiring visits to customer and supplier locations.
