Key Responsibilities

As an intern, you will:

  • Assist in engineering tasks related to the development of new products and the enhancement of existing systems.
  • Convert project requirements into detailed mechanical specifications and testing protocols.
  • Conduct verification tests in accordance with established mechanical specifications.
  • Perform design evaluations and testing to ensure compliance with customer expectations.
  • Engage in hands-on activities throughout various stages of the design and development lifecycle.
  • Participate in diverse projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should be:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Capable of working autonomously, adhering to deadlines, and effectively managing tasks to completion.
  • Equipped with strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • Possessing a problem-solving mindset with a keen interest in exploration, along with self-motivation for ongoing personal development.
  • A U.S. citizen.
Preferred Skills

Ideal candidates may also have:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering or a similar field.
  • Fundamental knowledge in engineering principles, mathematics, physics, and material science.
  • Experience with CAD software or analysis tools, particularly in mechanical design or electronic systems (e.g., SOLIDWORKS or FUSION).
  • Background in airfoil design, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), wind tunnel testing, or aerodynamics analysis.
  • Familiarity with structured development methodologies.
  • Basic programming skills.
  • Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and BitBucket.
  • Possession of an active or inactive SECRET clearance.

This internship is an unpaid-to-paid opportunity, with a probationary period of three weeks for all interns.
