Position Overview:
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Environmental Remediation Engineer to work remotely. This role involves overseeing various projects and business development initiatives, requiring proficiency in staff management, cost estimation, and proposal writing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership in hazardous waste remediation under CERCLA and RCRA programs throughout the project lifecycle, with a focus on exit strategies and remedy implementation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in specific areas of remedial engineering, geology, or chemistry, including site optimization, vapor intrusion, risk assessment, and advancements in treatment technologies.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the analysis, design, installation, and operation of treatment strategies for various waste materials, ensuring protection of human health and the environment.
  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge of site investigation and remediation technologies, collaborating with vendors, subcontractors, and consultants to form effective teams for complex challenges.
  • Drive risk management for remediation strategies, including the development of risk registers and contingency plans.
  • Oversee site management for both proposed and existing sites, focusing on technical remediation approaches, cost estimation, scheduling, and milestone identification.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical reports for clients, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet internal and external standards.
  • Independently manage tasks while collaborating with other Project/Program Managers on various environmental initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to support staff development.
  • Conduct background research and analyze laboratory and field data to support technical activities.
  • Participate in site visits to evaluate client programs and activities.
  • Adhere to organizational policies regarding procurement, project management, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain awareness of environmental regulations and new requirements in the U.S.
  • Engage with clients and regulatory agencies as necessary to support site operations.

Compensation:
Annual salary ranges from $140K to $160K, with variations based on skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages include healthcare insurance and paid leave as mandated by applicable law.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (civil, chemical, environmental).
  • 10-15 years of professional consulting experience with strong project management skills.
  • Excellent writing and communication abilities.
  • Experience in proposal creation, cost estimation, and business development.
  • Knowledge of industrial wastewater treatment operations.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations, including CERCLA and Superfund sites.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
