Job Summary

Guidehealth is seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Accounts Payable Manager to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for managing the collection, computation, and documentation of payroll data, processing bi-weekly payroll for U.S. employees, and overseeing accounts payable operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage payroll data, including collection, computation, and documentation
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for U.S. employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Oversee accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliation of AP accounts
  • Ensure payroll and AP records and processes comply with company policies and legal regulations
  • Coordinate with HR and accounting to verify employee data, accounts, and vendor information
  • Handle all state and federal tax accounts for the company, including the set-up of new state tax registrations
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with all payroll and AP activities
  • Prepare reports and financial data for payroll and accounts payable
  • Ensure proper setup and managing of multi-state tax accounts
  • Distribute end-of-year tax documents and issue final paychecks in accordance with state and federal laws
  • Audit payroll journals and AP records for accuracy and completeness
  • Manage and resolve any issues related to payroll and accounts payable
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance is a plus, but not required
  • At least 5 years of experience in payroll processing for 100+ employees on a national level
  • Experience with UKG required; experience with ADP a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable management
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, internal controls, payroll taxes, and employee benefits
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, including invoice management and vendor payments
  • Experience setting up state tax accounts for a multi-state employer
  • Strong knowledge of national payroll laws, relevant legal regulations, and AP best practices
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote work environment
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and other relevant software
