Chief Financial Officer

Vermont Housing & Conservation Board (VHCB) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead its financial operations. As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that support the organization's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development of VHCB's annual budget and financial plans
- Oversee the organization's financial operations, including accounting, analysis, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including Uniform Administrative Guidance
- Develop and implement cost allocation and indirect rate plans
- Supervise and mentor the finance team, including the Finance Director and Project Grants Manager
- CPA licensure or equivalent required
- Extensive experience in senior-level governmental or non-profit financial management
- Proficiency in governmental fund accounting (GASB) and non-profit accounting (FASB)
- Strong experience managing federal funds and familiarity with Uniform Administrative Guidance regulations
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing cost allocation and indirect rate plans
