About the Role:
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in food preparation and service, with knowledge of food serving, cleanliness, and sanitation requirements.
  • Responsibilities include preparing meals that meet or exceed quality and service standards, monitoring inventory, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, ensuring high-quality dishes for residents.
  2. Select ingredients and supplies for meal production, reviewing menus to determine necessary items.
  3. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to Buckner's quality and hospitality standards.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth meal service and efficient operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • One year of experience in food preparation and service, preferably in a senior living community.
  • Familiarity with food handling certifications and regulations.
Salary and Benefits:
