Senior Wealth Planning Manager

JCW Search is proud to partner with a reputable community bank in the Danbury, CT area to find a highly skilled Senior Wealth Planning Manager. This role requires a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive wealth management strategies for high-net-worth individuals, collaborating closely with the wealth management team.
  • Design and present tailored financial plans, focusing on goal setting, estate planning, educational funding, charitable contributions, tax planning, insurance needs, and social security.
  • Oversee the financial planning workflow, including meeting preparations, plan development, client interactions, follow-up, and ongoing client support.
  • Maintain expertise in financial planning issues and stay current with financial planning software, Excel, PowerPoint, and cash flow analysis tools.
  • Create and review financial plans, recommend products and services aligned with clients' long-term goals, and provide feedback to enhance planning deliverables and software functionalities.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships to retain existing accounts and keep clients informed of any financial developments impacting their portfolios.
  • Leverage the financial planning process to grow assets under management, including adding assets from outside sources and developing strategies for client retention.
  • Identify and engage new prospects, establishing and nurturing relationships as a trusted advisor.
  • Drive new business opportunities through various internal and external channels, collaborating with colleagues and participating in cross-selling activities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create materials for business development and drive growth through community involvement and professional networks.
  • Act as the primary account officer, managing client relationships and handling all administrative and fiduciary responsibilities in accordance with legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.
  • Provide exceptional client service, schedule and attend meetings, and address any issues promptly, involving legal or accounting advice as needed.
  • Offer guidance on fiduciary administration, financial, tax, and estate planning matters. Review trust documents and summarize trust powers and concerns.
  • Build and maintain relationships with attorneys, accountants, and other professionals.
  • Collaborate with the team on trust, IRA, and non-profit distributions, process discretionary distribution requests, and review accounts annually for compliance and accuracy.
  • Participate actively in the Trust Administrative Committee (TAC) and Trust Investment Committee (TIC), and serve as a system expert for trust operations.
  • Contribute to departmental project initiatives, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to timelines.
  • Coordinate with external personnel as required and manage project deliverables.
  • Foster team development by motivating staff, promoting workplace enthusiasm, and supporting professional growth through training and development opportunities.
  • Oversee HR processes including performance reviews, career development, training, and disciplinary actions.
