Role Overview:
Expedite Technology Solutions LLC is seeking a skilled Automation Tester to enhance our development and maintenance efforts for a prominent content management system utilized by a Federal Agency. This position requires a dedicated professional to ensure the quality and functionality of our digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Creating and refining automated test scenarios utilizing Behat and WebDriverIO frameworks.
- Executing automated test scripts and managing defect triage while collaborating with Agile teams.
- Providing comprehensive testing support for software releases and participating in maintenance activities.
- Conducting manual testing as necessary to ensure product quality.
- Performing accessibility evaluations in accordance with current WCAG standards.
- Developing PHP backend code to enhance existing Behat functionalities.
- Updating design and test documentation as changes occur within the CMS.
- Conducting test script reviews with team members to ensure quality standards.
- Drafting and supporting the submission of deliverables.
- Proposing enhancements to the automated testing framework.
- Collaborating closely with project team members in an Agile environment, maintaining open communication, and attending essential meetings.
- Reporting on project status and escalating significant issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of experience in quality assurance and testing.
- At least one year of recent experience testing Drupal 8.x, 9.x, and 10.x websites.
- Proficiency in developing automated test scenarios using Behat or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with WCAG accessibility tools and guidelines.
- Experience with CI/CD processes and tools such as GitLab, BitBucket, or Jenkins.
- Proficiency in programming languages including PHP, Python, Perl, .NET, Ruby, Java, or C#.
- Ability to work independently and address issues proactively.
- Experience in cross-functional teams utilizing Agile methodologies.
Preferred Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Knowledge of industry best practices in software testing.
- Experience achieving comprehensive test coverage through various testing types, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
