Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Product and Commercial Development:
- Develop a comprehensive framework and strategic roadmap identifying value-creation opportunities within FL97's life sciences platform.
- Work collaboratively with Business Development to establish guidelines for when FL97 should consider different business models in Life Sciences, such as spinouts and partnerships.
- Outline FL97's initial portfolio of Vanguard Products and long-term strategic vision, ensuring alignment between product strategy and the AI Research Team's objectives and Grand Challenges.
- Create detailed target product profiles (TPPs) for Vanguard Products from each AI Science Factory, translating product opportunities into actionable requirements that influence current and future development.
- Collaborate to establish value creation milestones and align them with investor expectations in fundraising efforts.
- Product Development and Project Oversight.
- Define and implement the operational rhythm for FL97's life sciences product initiatives.
- Lead program management for FL97's Life Sciences product initiatives, proactively addressing obstacles to deliver market-ready products.
- Collaboration and Leadership.
- Serve as a thought leader within the Life Sciences team, facilitating problem-solving and decision-making processes.
- Partner with technical leaders to maximize platform utilization and expedite value delivery.
- Engage closely with the Chief Product Officer and Materials team to create a translation layer between ROI-based perspectives across Life and Physical Sciences, highlighting the incremental value of new initiatives.
Qualifications:
- PhD in a life sciences discipline.
- Experience in product valuation.
- Background in large pharmaceutical companies and small biotech firms.
- Proven track record of managing high-performing teams.
- Preferred (but not required): Experience in business development.
- Preferred (but not required): Familiarity with AI technologies.
- Access to cutting-edge technology in:
- AI experimental design and simulation.
- Automated liquid handling and custom instrumentation.
- Generative molecular design.
